The Cultural Association Companhia Pernas pro Ar was founded on March 24, 2000, by two masters: Boca de Peixe (Danny Alexandro Lopes de Oliveira) and Porquinho (Nayro Ângelo Lopes de Oliveira). Boca de Peixe holds a degree in Physical Education from UNI-BH and a postgraduate degree in School Physical Education from UGF. Porquinho has been residing in Cologne, Germany, since 1997, where he plays a significant role in promoting Brazilian culture.

Mateus Gato, a passionate Capoeirista and dedicated teacher, trained extensively in Brazil under Mestre Boca De Peixe, a student of Mestre Reinaldo from Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte. Gato’s journey took him across the vibrant landscapes of Brazil, including Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro and Salvador. Along the way, he sought wisdom from various masters, continuously enriching his Capoeira practice. Mateus Gato also played a key role in founding the CPPA group in Poland, ensuring that Capoeira’s legacy transcends borders. He continues to pursue knowledge and share his passion through workshops and teaching.
